Alessandro Vismara has been the Baltic Yachts agent for Italy for over 25 years. He has been involved with PG Johansson, a co-founder Baltic in many of the leading edges projects at that yard. Vismara's customers helped in pushing the latest technology at Baltic Yachts. Those projects involved the Baltic 67 (Bruce Farr hull design) which was the first 100% carbon fiber boat built at that yard in 1996. The Baltic 78 (Reichel Pugh hull design) in 2000. More recently, there was the Baltic 79, 56, 60, 66 (all Judel Vroljic)—All these boats were for Vismara's customers and the man (along with his Italian team) was involved in many aspects of the designs. He has a naval architecture degree from Southampton and has built sailboats in Italy using the experience learned while working with leading naval architects and the best mind in sail-boat building-- namely PG Joansson at Baltic Yachts. L'Avventura is one of the most elegant sail boat built by Alex Vismara; it is also extremely well balanced at sea.  
  The yard, Valdettaro, was the yard the built Kennedy's and Tito's boats back in the 50's; however, this boat was built with a different generation of workmen, many of them were from the team that built the carbon boats for the America's cup Teams. The carbon technology is truly the latest one. The current owner has made modifications since taking ownership in 2006 in order to bring the boat to the real level of a Baltic Yachts (the descriptions in the listing below may give a sense of this attention to details.) This individual really enjoyed owning the  Baltic 67 for 4 years. Before that he was a Swan owner (Swan 56 hull 01 & Swan 80 hull 01); these Swan boats were pretty but far too heavy and never well balanced, nor capable of going above their hull's speed for more than a few seconds.
